How to install Winscp on Windows

Introduction to WInSCP:

• WinSCP is a free and open-source WebDAV, Amazon S3, SFTP,SCP client for Microsoft Windows, and FTP.
• It  transfers files  between a local and a remote computer. 
• WinSCP offers basic file synchronization functionality and file manager . 
• It uses Secure Shell and supports the SCP protocol in addition to SFTP, For secure transfers.

  Below are steps to download and install Winscp:

1.  Download WinSCP by opening the https://winscp.net/eng/download.php

and click on the download button.

2. Accept the license by pressing the Accept button and proceed with the installation.

3. On the Setup Type page on the WinSCP Installer, you may select Typical installation or Custom installation. Here I’m selecting a typical installation.  To continue with the installation use the Next button.

4. Select where you want WinSCP to be installed. Typically you will want to keep the default location. To continue with the installation use the Next button. The page is used for custom installation only.

5. Select what WinSCP components you want to be installed. Typically we want to keep the default components. To continue with the installation use the Next button.

6. Select installation tasks. To continue with the installation use the Next button. The page is used for custom installation only.

7. Select the default user interface. To continue with the installation use the Next button. This page is used for  new installation or custom upgrade only.

8. Review your installation settings and start the installation. On this page you have the last change to go back and change the settings of  installation. Use the Install button to start the installation.

9. Once the WinSCP Installer finishes installing WinSCP, the Complete  Wizard page appears. Use the Finish button to close the installer.

This should successfully install Winscp on windows computer.
